STIHL anti-vibration system

For more comfortable work. When your devices are switched on vibrations can occur in the grip area. The dampers and springs of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations from the engine to the handle and therefore to your body. The result: you hold your machine more comfortably and your work is much less tiring.

Compensator

Less maintenance. The compensator is a control system in the carburetor that uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time despite increasing clogging of the air filter. You only need to clean the air filter when you notice a noticeable reduction in performance. This means you can work with it for a long time without any maintenance being required.

Manual decompression

Start without effort. Thanks to the pressure relief valve you can start your device more easily. When starting you can release some of the compressed mixture from the cylinder by opening the valve. This protects the starting system and requires less force on the starting mechanism.

Open fuel cap without tools

Quick and easy to use. The tool-free fuel cap allows you to open and close oil and fuel tanks in a few simple steps thanks to a twist lock.

Long life air filter for chainsaws

Longer filter life. Pre-separation removes coarse and larger particles from the air flow before they reach the filter. The HD2 filter keeps even the finest dust away from the engine. This extends the life of your engine reduces the need for cleaning and simplifies the maintenance of your chainsaw. When we talk about a long-life air filter system in chainsaws we are only talking about models that are equipped with a pre-separator and an HD2 filter. With this system you benefit from a significantly longer filter life than conventional air filter systems.

Adjustable oil pump

Allows precise regulation of the oil flow completely according to need. Setting to E-marking guarantees sufficient oil flow in any case and can achieve an oil reduction of up to 50%. For longer cutting edges and dry wood a larger oil volume must be set (image not contractual)

STIHL 2-stroke layered coil motor

Low energy consumption. With the STIHL 2-stroke cleaning engine with stratified flushing you reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption and thus operating costs. This 2-stroke engine requires little maintenance and consumes little fuel even at high power. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-stroke stratified flushing engine complies with the strict European Stage V emissions guideline.

STIHL Ematic system

STIHL 4-channel technology

Preheating the carburetor
