The fully electronic engine management controls the ignition sequence and fuel dosage in every working situation taking into account external conditions such as temperature altitude and fuel quality.

STIHL Ergostart

Effortless starting. With STIHL Ergostart you save energy when starting your devices. Simply pull the starter cord gently and evenly. The required speed on the starter cord is considerably lower and the engine starts quickly and reliably even when you pull the cord slowly. An additional spring between the crankshaft and the starter cord makes this operation even easier.

STIHL 2-stroke layered coil motor

Low energy consumption. With the STIHL 2-stroke cleaning engine with stratified flushing you reduce exhaust emissions and fuel consumption and thus operating costs. This 2-stroke engine requires little maintenance and consumes little fuel even at high power. Use a mixture of petrol and engine oil as fuel. The STIHL 2-stroke stratified flushing engine complies with the strict European Stage V emissions guideline.

Multifunctional one-handed handle

Comfortable operation. Thanks to the multifunctional handle you can operate the machine easily and reliably with one hand. Since all important controls are integrated into the handle the device can be used by both right- and left-handed people.

Two-handed grip (handlebars)

It is a tubular handle that can be operated with both hands and is therefore particularly ergonomic when mowing. It provides a natural mowing movement like with a scythe and is very easy to adjust with a tourniquet screw. When mowing large areas with a brushcutter the handlebar is always the best option (similar image).

STIHL anti-vibration system

For more comfortable work. When your devices are switched on vibrations can occur in the grip area. The dampers and springs of the STIHL anti-vibration system reduce the transmission of vibrations from the engine to the handle and therefore to your body. The result: you hold your machine more comfortably and your work is much less tiring.

Tool-free handlebar adjustment

The ergonomic handlebar can be adjusted individually using the central clamp. The handlebar is designed to be adjustable without tools. Rotates 90 degrees for space-saving transport and storage.

Compensator

Less maintenance. The compensator is a control system in the carburetor that uses pressure compensation to ensure that engine performance exhaust gas quality and fuel consumption remain virtually constant over a long period of time despite increasing clogging of the air filter. You only need to clean the air filter when you notice a noticeable reduction in performance. This means you can work with it for a long time without any maintenance being required.

Manual fuel pump

Before use preheat the pump a few times before starting. This ensures that there is sufficient fuel in the carburetor when starting.

Winter setting
