V-safe input funnel
The redesigned and wider feed hopper is immediately striking. The unique V-shape is revolutionary in this regard. Reportedly, this V-shaped base plate ensures that the inserted pruning waste (bulk or loose branches) is spontaneously guided towards the center, allowing it to enter the chipping chamber optimally. This is said to result in more efficient cutting. In addition to this efficiency gain, the pointed front of the hopper encourages the operator to stand to the side of the hopper during insertion, thereby increasing their passive safety.
ABM SYSTEM
The ELIET PROF 6 features an additional option, namely an ABM (Anti-Block Motor) system, as we already know from the ELIET Prof 5. This ingenious system fully autonomously regulates the feed speed. A sensor closely monitors every change in motor speed.
Caterpillars
Tracks offer an additional advantage. Notwithstanding the impressive set of tracks, the Cross Country's own weight remains relatively low. This translates into extremely low ground pressure, allowing you to maneuver this shredder perfectly across the lawn without the risk of damage.
Crawler drive
The ease with which the track drive is operated is comparable to the wheeled version of the Prof6. However, with the Cross Country, each track can be controlled individually using two handles on the steering wheel. By rotating the tracks in opposite directions, the machine can turn around its axis. This maneuverability makes it possible to reach places that would otherwise be difficult to access, which can result in enormous time savings during shredding.
Low maintenance
A highly innovative feature of the Prof 6 is the large access hatch to the entire blade system. The entire rear of the machine hinges away, creating incredible accessibility for cleaning and maintenance of the blades. A feature that maintenance mechanics will appreciate.
Knives
The patented ELIET blade system is also the main focus of the Prof 6. However, a heavier type of blade was fitted here, which benefits the service life. Moreover, the Prof 6 is even more resistant to sand or pebbles that inevitably end up in the machine with the pruning waste.
Exhaust pipe
The discharge pipe of the Prof 6 is a remarkable feat of engineering. Its shape prevents turbulence, and its curvature was calculated according to the optimal trajectory of the flying chips. Consequently, the machine's throwing range is phenomenal. The decision to manufacture the discharge pipe from high-quality plastic was therefore deliberate. The material is seamless, corrosion-resistant, perfectly smooth, and, moreover, sound-insulating. Due to this low air resistance, the pipe is less prone to blockages. The discharge pipe has a discharge height of 1.8 m and can be rotated 280°.
Paddle wheel
For the discharge of the chips, ELIET also remains faithful to its so-called Turbo Discharge system, in which a suction turbine sucks the chips out of the chipping chamber and discharges them via a raised discharge pipe. An interesting feature of this discharge system is that this suction force is also felt at the feed hopper, which is a nice bonus when feeding leafy clippings. The Turbo Discharge impeller has been redesigned to generate even better blowing power.
