STURDY CHASSIS

Just as a pen must be held firmly in the hand to draw a straight line, so too must an edge trimmer be held firmly. This ensures that every movement of the handlebars is translated into an equal displacement of the blade. ELIET therefore opts resolutely for a robust welded frame, which immediately eliminates any potential play in the bolt fastenings.

STEEL CUTTING KNIFE

It is a sturdy steel knife that gets the job done. To reduce cutting resistance and guarantee a perfect cut, the knife features two sharpened cutting edges. The edge trimmer can be adjusted to cut to a depth of up to 80 mm.

STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS

The blade drive engages automatically as soon as the depth setting is selected. Using the ergonomically positioned lever on the handlebar, you can adjust the blade depth to a number of positions. The dead man's handle on the handlebar is a passive safety feature that prevents you from accidentally reaching near the blade with your hands.

ADJUSTABLE ANGLE

The angle of the blades is also adjustable. This allows you to precisely cut away overgrown grass without damaging the structure of your lawn edge.

SECURELY CLOSED SHIELDING COVER

The blade of the edge trimmer sometimes cuts through soil or along curb stones. The risk of dislodging small stones from the ground is very real. To ensure the safety of the operator and bystanders, the machine has been fitted with a sickle-shaped guard that partially encloses the blade. An additional nylon mud flap shields the opening to the ground, ensuring that any projection is contained. This makes the ELIET edge trimmer a model of safety on the market.

POSITION OF THE FRONT AXLE

Even the curves of creative lawns can be perfectly mowed with the ELIET edger. To achieve this, the axle of the front wheel was precisely aligned with the axle of the blade. As a result, the blade follows a turning circle proportional to the turn taken by the front wheel. This allows the operator to follow the curves of the lawn much more precisely.

BIG WHEELS

To ensure that one can concentrate fully on cutting the lawn edge, ELIET has ensured that no other aspect distracts attention. Consequently, the edge trimmer is equipped with large, smooth-running wheels. The wheels rotate on roller bearings. These have a wide contact surface, thus providing maximum stability, and are relatively

insensitive to sand and dust.

HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE HANDLEBAR

The special shape of the handlebar ensures that the operator walks at an angle behind the machine, so that he does not have to trample the freshly cut lawn edge to guide the machine into the correct path. Tall operators are also entitled to a comfortable working posture. That is why ELIET has equipped its edge trimmer with stepped height adjustment of the handlebar.
