CHASSIS

The ELIET overseeding machine is characterized by the 5 operations it performs in succession. To continuously guarantee the flawless operation of the drives and components for each of these operations, ELIET chose a durable steel chassis as the basis.

WORKING WIDTH

The ELIET Overseeding Machine has an active working width of 750 mm. On small and medium-sized lawns, this renovation operation is completed in no time. With a yield of at least 1,000 m²/hour, this ELIET machine also offers a number of additional advantages for large lawns, sports fields, and golf courses, where maneuverability and low soil compaction are highly appreciated.

KNIVES

The heavy work on this ELIET machine is performed by the 24 cutting discs underneath. Specially hardened blades cut grooves into the lawn soil at intervals of 30 mm. The blades rotate over the top, so that the milled-away soil, thatch, moss, and grass are lifted from the lawn. This method results in clean grooves that better capture and hold the grass seed. The ideal blade thickness for overseeding is 3 mm.

CRUISE CONTROL

While working with the machine, the driving speed on both rollers can be set constantly. The lever mounted on the handlebars for this purpose maintains its speed as long as the All-in-one control^™ lever is pressed. As soon as this lever is released, the Cruise control disengages and the machine comes to a standstill.

ELECTRIC HEIGHT CONTROL

Despite the weight of the machine, it requires no effort from the operator to bring the machine to working depth or lift it to the transport position. An electric actuator, whose controls are integrated into the All-in-one Controle^™ handle, takes over this task from the operator. For safety during transport, this control can be switched off using a switch on the instrument panel.

COLLECTOR

When the blades cut at an average depth of about 25 mm, they remove a considerable amount of soil and thatch from the ground. To ensure this debris does not interfere with the seeding process, it must be removed. Consequently, all the debris is neatly ejected at the side of the machine. A deflector cover deposits this mixture of soil, moss, thatch, and grass onto a small berm, which is easy to clean up afterwards.

SEED BOX

The spacious seed hopper has a capacity of 46 L (= 12 kg) of lawn seed. Since the ELIET Overseeding Combi was designed for highly targeted sowing with minimal loss, the amount of seed can be limited. The seeding rate of this machine can therefore be set very precisely on a diagram. A rotary unit in the seed hopper ensures continuous seed drop as soon as the machine is in motion. The movement generated by the rotary unit prevents the lawn seed from separating. To prevent waste of grass seed, a system is provided that automatically closes the seed hopper as soon as the machine is lifted to the transport position.

PRECISE SEED BATTER SETTING

Seed manufacturers offer a wide variety of seed mixtures suitable for overseeding a lawn. Some seed mixtures are already enriched with growth accelerators. The composition of the seed mixture has a significant impact on the price. To prevent waste and loss, correct dosing is essential. ELIET has developed a seeding unit that allows the seeding rate to be set accurately. Tests and simulations with common grass seed mixtures that ELIET has carried out for you are documented in a number of diagrams. These will help you considerably in choosing the correct scattering opening. To determine the seeding rate very precisely, ELIET has also provided the option to measure the scattering during a test run using a seed catcher.

SHAKE

The seed is deposited very precisely over the furrows. The nozzles that deposit the seed are positioned as close as possible to the furrow to avoid the influence of wind on the seed. Nevertheless, not all the seed always falls into the furrow. An ingenious system of lamellae shakes the remaining seeds into the furrows so that the loss of grass seed is negligible.

SWIVEL WHEEL

The impressive swivel wheel at the front of the machine was added to increase the machine's maneuverability. At turning points, the overseeding combination is electrically lifted, allowing the machine to rest on the swivel wheel. This offers the operator complete freedom to turn the machine or steer it in a different direction.

HYDROSTATIC ROLLER DRIVE

The two large idler rollers are driven by a hydrostatic pump. This allows the driving speed to be adjusted proportionally, enabling the operator to always optimally adapt the working speed to the condition of the soil and lawn. Furthermore, the drive on each roller can be controlled independently, allowing for turning in place (turning circle 0). This makes the machine extremely suitable for working on complex lawns.

ANTISCALP ROLLS

The anti-scalp roller serves a dual purpose. On the one hand, this roller is used to adjust the working depth. On the other hand, it maintains a constant working depth for the machine and compensates for terrain irregularities. The small micro-irregularities of the lawn surface are flattened by the roller, leveling the path of the blade cuts. Finally, the roller keeps the machine in a straight line, which improves the machine's handling.

DRIVE

An integrated transmission and gearbox offers a choice of 4 forward driving speeds and two reverse gears. The gears can be engaged from the operator's seat. The central lever on the steering wheel allows the drive from the engine power to the gearbox to be disengaged.

POWERFUL ENGINE

The 13 hp Honda GX390 was preferred as the power source for the overseeder. This engine features built-in reduction (1/2), which increases its pulling power. This is a modern engine designed using overhead valve technology (OHV). The engine is equipped with an electric start as standard. The cartridge filter with pre-filter in the DZC 750 ensures that the machine can operate in dusty conditions.

COMPACT DESIGN

Regardless of the number of operations the machine performs in succession, ELIET has succeeded in building a particularly compact machine. This feature comes into its own on complex lawns.

BRUSH

To maintain the traction of the rear rollers, they are continuously cleaned by a brush. This prevents the rollers from slipping and damaging the lawn.
